Videos of 2022
We had an exciting 2022 and are grateful for every person who we got to interview
and feature on our site.
When it comes to our top interviews, let's go through our top 10 ...
10. Cooper Raiff - Cha Cha Real Smooth
The film is about a party starter in early 20's who is trying to navigate love and life, while trying to find direction and motivation in his life. The film's title is also inspired by the hit song The Cha Cha Slide which originated in the Chicagoland area.
9. Zack Ward - A Christmas Story Christmas
Zack Ward portrays the iconic bully Scut Farkus in A Christmas Story, the 1980's cult hit favorite. Now almost 40 years later, we get to see what became of Ralphie, Scut, Schwartz and the rest of the gang. It was great to chat with Zack about the legacy of that character and some behind the scenes stories of filming the original film
8. Graham Moore - The Outfit
The Outfit is a film about a tailor in Chicago with some clients with questionable jobs that are never questioned. The film stars Mark Rylance, Dylan O'Brien & Zoey Deutch. We got to chat with Oscar winner Graham Moore on this latest film and his iconic Oscar acceptance speech.
7. Damarr Brown - Top Chef: Houston
Damarr Brown is the famed Chef De Cuisine at Virtue Restaurant in Chicago. We got a chance to chat just as the first episode of Top Chef: Houston premiered. Of course, he had a scare that week, but with all reality shows, you have no idea what's happening or who will be the next one voted off. Not only did he make it far in the competition, but also became a fan favorite.
6. Debbie Gibson - Winterlicious
Debbie Gibson just celebrated 35th anniversary of his debut album Out of the Blue and 30th anniversary of her holiday hit Sleigh Ride. Jimmy Nicholas portrays Chief Hawkins on Chicago Fire. His character was only expected to be there for a few episodes and lasted beyond the original arc. In October, his character met his fate at the iconic Pickwick Theatre. We chatted about the impact of his character and what it was like to feel the love from fans after his untimely death on the show.
4. Alexander Lincoln - In From The Side
In From The Side was one of my favorite films at the Reeling Film Festival. The movie is set in the world of gay rugby clubs, and two players find themselves in quite a situation after a night out celebrating. The film is getting a USA premiere in January, so hopefully we'll see more of the cast stateside doing more projects. Check out our chat with Alexander about portraying Mark and the impact of the film.
3. Joseph Sikora - Power Book IV: Force
Chicago native Joseph Sikora brought his Power character Tommy Egan to Chicago, with the new series Power Book IV: Force, which premiered last February. We are gearing up for the release of season 2. It's always a pleasure to catch up with Joseph about the inspiration for the show and what it's like to film in Chicago.
2. Billy Eichner & Luke MacFarlane - Bros
Although Bros received rave reviews, the film didn't make the impact at the box office that was anticipated. Time will tell if this film will become a cult hit. Either way, Billy Eichner and Luke MacFarlane have great chemistry and this was such a fun interview. Billy chats his time at Northwestern, Megan Markle & of course filming Bros and the celeb cameos.
1. Donna De Lory
This was our most watched video of the year! Thank you Donna for your time and insight to some of the biggest hits with Madonna. In the 1980's, Donna De Lory's boyfriend at the time co-wrote the song Open Your Heart and Donna recorded the demo and that started a whole musical journey that lasted decades. Donna shares the impact of Truth or Dare, friendship with Niki Haris & how remixes continue to influence her career.
