Finding a unique new outfit for
New Year's Eve 2021
Let's face it, ringing in 2022 is going to look very similar to ringing in 2021. While we may not be hitting the newest club or traveling to cap off the year, we can still ring in the new year in style. Since the start of the pandemic, many of us have embraced the blend of comfort and fashion, and that's what I'm using to create my new year's outfit.
On a recent trip to Primark, I had one goal and that was to purchase an outfit that I had never bought before. This was terrifying and exciting at the same time. I didn't have anything in mind, just being open to new cuts, different patterns, colors or items than what's currently in my closet. The first thing that caught my eye was turtlenecks and mock turtle necks. I've seen a lifetime of holiday ad campaigns of guys in turtlenecks, but have never tried one on or ever purchased for myself. At a price under $20 for each, I picked up a navy turtleneck and a beige mock turtleneck. Then just a few feet away, I saw the plaid jackets ($45). Now I have something fun & different to pair with the turtleneck. Suddenly. I felt like I was giving myself a Tan France makeover on 'Queer Eye'. I felt confident and happy to make this new purchase and show off my new outfit and get ready to ring in 2022.
Posted here are also some styles from Primark including comfortable matching pajamas for the family, plus examples of comfort & style, and living your best life at every age.
