The animated series was born out of a Twitter account and brought us a love letter to all the nuances of Chicago life from The Chicago Marathon, Halloween, The Bears, Guthries Tavern, and Wrigleyville.

After 7 is the iconic band that got it's start in the 90's and just released their latest album Unfinished Business. We talked about the band's roots in the Chicago area and how Kevon's brother Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds got his inspiration to start his career from his brothers.

While in person concerts were still on hold during the first part of the year, many artists found a creative way to put on shows. DJ legend Julian 'Jumpin' Perez started hosting drive-in concerts featuring iconic DJS & artists. Sweet Sensation performed at one in May of this year.

7. Denali Foxx - Rupaul's Drag Race
Another live drive-in event that took place in Chicago included several nights with stars of Rupaul's Drag Race outside of Soldier Field. Denali Foxx, from Chicago, was one of the stars who appeared at the hometown shows.

As a Chicagoan, nothing is better than street festivals in the summer to catch our favorite bands.
Wedding Banned is one of the groups that we can always expect to find headlining fests across the city and suburbs. Due to the pandemic, the band had not performed live in over a year, and this was such a fun way to reunite with a band that means so much to us.

5. The Cast of Everybody's Talking About Jamie
When I got a chance to see Everybody's Talking About Jamie in London in 2019, I was instantly hooked. The story, the soundtrack, the dance moves, everything! So when I heard a movie was being made, I was super excited to see it. The film was first slated for the 2020, then got moved several times until it was released this past summer. Not only did I dress in my Everybody's Talking About Jamie tour shirt, but had a fantastic chat with stars Max Harwood, Lauren Patel, and director Jonathan Butterall.

Chicago P.D. These two stars were such a joy to interview, especially during a pivotal point in their on-screen relationship. Over the years, it's always been amazing to talk with the cast knowing how much these shows mean to their die-hard fans.

3. On the Red Carpet with the cast of The Class
Because of the pandemic, in person red carpet interviews have been kept at a minimum this year. This was one of the rare exceptions for a film slated to be released in 2022, set and filmed right here in Chicago. The all-star cast of Anthony Michael Hall, Debbie Gibson, Charlie Gillespie, Lyric Ross all hit the red carpet to chat about the film and support Anthony Michael Hall during a fan meet & greet fundraiser and screening of The Breakfast Club.

As someone who worked with Tamron many years during her time in Chicago, I've been so happy for all of her opportunities and platforms since leaving Chicago. This year, she released her first novel. As the Wicked Watch, about a Chicago reporter, inspired by her time in our city.

This is our Chicago exclusive interview Joseph and his brother Albin Sikora. Fans just have a few more weeks before they can catch his return as Tommy Egan in 'Power Book IV: Force' on Starz. During the filming here in Chicago over the summer, I got a chance to chat with Joseph and his brother Albin who formed a production company to bring more projects to the Chicago area and tell stories that aren't often told. Of course we also chatted about his early roles in Rudy and My Best Friend's Wedding and how the role of' 'Tommy' changed his life and why this new series in taking place in Chicago.
