Chicago hosts one of the biggest St. Patrick's Day celebrations on the planet!
While the official holiday takes place on March 17th, many of the popular events take place on Saturday, March 16th downtown and around the city. 


The 69th annual dyeing of the river green starts at 10am along the city's riverwalk. Upper Wacker is the best spots on the street to see the iconic Chicago event, all businesses and access to the riverwalk will be closed during that time.

If you're looking to watch the dyeing of the river with a bird's eye view, the Royal Sonesta Downtown is hosting a viewing party 39 stories in the sky. Join them in their Penthouse Ballroom along with outdoor terrace access, DJs, party favors & more. The event will also feature a breakfast buffet with many Irish favorites, along with an open bar featuring wine, spirits, green beer and Irish cocktails.

City cruises features two different times to celebrate with their bottomless mimosa brunch from 11am-1pm and 2:3o till 4:30pm. You'll get iconic views of the city as well as the St.Patrick's Day celebrations.

Bottomless mimosas are part of the package,
but there is also a fully stocked cash bar as well as DJ entertainment.

Charm'd Bar takes over the second floor of Bamboo Club is open now through March 24. Their menu features a variety of themed food and drinks. Tickets start at $5.
