The 57th annual 'Chicago International Film Festival' kicks off Wednesday, October 13th with three highly anticipated films. The Music Box Theatre on Southport will host two of three opening night films. The opening night film is Wes Anderson's 'The French Dispatch' that features an all-star cast of BIll Murray, Owen Wilson, Timothee Chalamet, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Benecio Del Toro and Adrien Brody. The film centers around a group of writers in France who write for an outpost of Liberty, Kansas newspaper. The second film that will screen at The Music Box that evening is Halloween Kills. It's the latest film in the Halloween series that brings back Jamie Lee Curtis to Haddonfield to confront her brother, Michael Myers. The film also sees the return of Lindsay's character played by Real Housewives of Orange County star Kyle Richards. The third film to open the fest is 'The Velvet Underground' at Chitown Movies & Drive-In in Pilsen. The film follows the iconic band and how frontman Lou Reed and the crew went from the New York underground scene to a global international force.
